Free: Design Festival on iconic Regent Street on Sunday 3rd of July
London's most famous transport icons will take over Regent Street for a spectacular free festival this summer.
Regent Street will be transformed into a spectacular display of transport designs on Sunday 3 July for a free festival presented by Transport for London (TfL) and London Transport Museum.
Black cabs, tube carriages and buses will be among attractions on display for the event, which will be split into three zones: Past, Present and Future.
"The Transported by Design festival (#tbdfest), supported by Exterion Media, will celebrate the designs that have kept London on the move from Victorian times to the present, and will give visitors a peek at what might come in the future."
The festival will stretch all the way from Piccadilly Circus to Oxford Circus Tube stations and is part of 'Summer Streets', which sees Regent Street go traffic free every Sunday in July
.
Regent Street will be divided into three zones - Past, Present and Future - and will showcase the best in transport inspired design with a host of activities.
There will also be a host of free family activities and games on offer throughout the day as well as food and drink to keep all visitors well fuelled

Swedish fruit cider brand Kopparberg is launching a fruit lager summer
campaign with street art and live music, as well
as reviving its Urban Forest festival.
Kopparberg is branching out into the world of beer, just in time for summer with a brand new lemon and lime flavoured Fruit Lager.
To celebrate the launch of the new drink, Kopparberg have teamed up with internationally-renowned London based mural artist Will Vibes, who has created a special piece of Scandi-inspired 3D street art that’ll be on display for one day only at BOXPARK.
And for one day only, FREE bottles of Kopparberg’s new Fruit Lager will be on hand for you to enjoy.

Bolivia y el fútbol : ¿Qué es lo que necesita La Verde?
Quizás no sepa mucho de fútbol, la verdad que muy poco (por no decir nada!), viviendo en Londres, a veces suelo ver algúno que otro partido, apoyando primero al Arsenal y cambiándome después al Chelsea, por cuestión de Fabregas, mi jugador favorito. Y de vez en cuando suelo ver el clásico Español.. apoyando al Barca..(Cristiano Ronaldo, no me cae bien, no podría explicar el motivo, pero es así) y al mismo tiempo veo como jugadores latinoamericanos se destacan en Europa.
Y pienso ¿qué le hace falta a Bolivia?
Desde pequeña, mi papá nos llevaba a mi hermano y a mí, al Estadio, a ver el clásico paceño, íbamos con mi tío y mi abuelito. Escuchaba las bandas, apoyando ambos equipos, la gente que se alegraba, que saltaba, que gritaba .. y pienso que es así como llegamos a tener esa pasión, esa alegría, esa emoción que nos hace seguir a nuestro equipo, y que quizás nos falta hacia La Verde.
Estando fuera de Bolivia, con más razon apoyo a la seleccion nacional, y a veces pienso que lo que nos hace falta es aprovechar lo que tenemos para prepararnos, física y mentalmente, Bolivia cuenta con varios climas para entrenar, desde regiones orientales, con climas calientes a mas de 35ºC , a regiones con climas fríos y estando a 3,500m de altura sobre el nivel del mar, llega a ser lugar único para capacitarce físicamente y estar preparados para jugar en cualquier parte del mundo!
Recordemos que hasta los mejores jugadores como Messi, no han podido jugar por "la altura" en Bolivia, necesitaban oxígeno, algo exagerado pienso, para jugadores que están entre los mejores en el mundo!
Y es por eso que también se necesita prepararse mentalmente, recordar que hasta los mejores jugadores, no son perfectos, tienen sus momentos díficiles, pierden, pero mentalmente saben como recuperarse y seguir.
La prensa también puede influir, puede que notas en la prensa sean negativas, pero siempre tenemos que ver todo del lado positivo, y no solo en cuestión de fútbol, si alguien te dice, : eso es imposible, no lo lograras... con mas ganas, si realmente quieres hacer algo, encuentras la manera de lograrlo, nada es imposible cuando uno quiere.
Debemos motivarnos más, creer mas en nosotros mismos, en lo capaces que podemos llegar a ser, tener la mente positiva.
Entonces ¿qué debemos, quizás, aprender de los últimos partidos que jugamos ante Colombia y Argentina?
Como mencioné al principio, no voy a describir técnicas de fútbol, porque no podría, pero en cuestión de personalidades intanteré!
Y a que me refiero con personalidades, pues es de la manera que uno se comporta, lo que te hace diferente, único, desde la manera de pensar, hasta la manera de bailar, etc.
Y como me dedico a bailar, es inevitable que relacione el fútbol con el baile! Colombia con la salsa y la cumbia, y Argentina con el tango.
Entonces aprendamos el ritmo y carisma de Colombia, y lo intrépido y casi atrevido de Argentina.
Se trata de la personalidad de cada uno de nosotros mismos, de cómo pensamos, cómo nos comportamos, y no solo en cuestion de fútbol, sino en la vida cotidiana en general, siempre debemos pensar positivamente, pensar que somos capáces de lo que nos porponemos y mucho más, de que si hay obstáculos en el camino, encontrarémos la manera de pasar, de seguir adelante.
No se trata de que Bolivia anda perdiendo, Se trata de que Bolivia hará historia !

FREE : See London in a New Light.... #LumiereLDN
Light installations by 30 leading artists will illuminate the capital's streets as part of the first ever Lumiere London event.
Over four evenings, experience installations from the world's most exciting artists working with light. Taking place across the West End and King's Cross, see the city transformed into an extraordinary nocturnal delight, completely FREE to attend.
The installations for Lumiere London in Piccadilly, Regent Street and St James's, Trafalgar Square and Westminster, Mayfair, and King's Cross have now been revealed.
The festival will run from 6.30pm to 10.30pm each evening, 14 to 17 January 2016.

FREE EVENT: Día de Muertos / Day of the Dead in London
Día de Muertos is back at RichMix for the 3rd year in a row! Mexico Lindo y Querido Community Group London brings the most authentic Day of the Dead celebration in the UK.
This year they want to celebrate The Day of the Dead in a very special way by bringing back the mystic tradition that surrounds the commemoration of our loved ones that have passed away. A fully traditional altar, live music, arts & crafts and probably the most deliciously crafted Mexican food on this side of the pond courtesy of Rosa’s Kitchen & Azteca's.
Day of the Dead is a tradition spanning back thousands of years, where Mexicans honour their dead and celebrate life. You are invited to bring mementos for your dead (i.e photos, food, flowers) to add to this altar.
And this Sunday 1st of November they will have workshops, music and dancers to keep all the family entertained.
