"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

Health and Wellbeing

A balanced diet is essential for general health and well being. The right diet will keep you fit, give energy and vitality and be reflective in your general appearance - your skin, teeth, and of course, your figure.
To achieve a balanced diet you must eat food which provides you with all the essential nutrients, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.

Regular exercise will not make you lose weight , but it will keep you fit,
so its an important aid to good health. A combination of a balanced diet and regular exercise are the basic ingredients of keeping in good shape.

The exercise on the right illustration is good for upper arms and shoulders.
Lie on the floor with arms by your sides and legs together. Lift your arms up and back over your head and stretch. Circle them out to the sides and back to the starting position.

Firm up the muscles around your waist with this simple exercise. Stand with your feet apart, stretch your arms above your head, breath out and bend your body to the left. Breathe in and straighten up. Repeat the exercise 8 times to the left and 8 times to the right.

Sit ups are good for stomach and waist. Lie with your feet under a heavy piece of furniture like a bed so they cant rise. Fold your arms across your chest and sit up. Gently lower yourself back onto the floor and repeat.

A good exercise for the hips. Lie on one side, resting your head
on one elbow, raise one leg as high as you can and then lower it.
Repeat 10 times and then change sides and repeat with the other leg.
